Hi! My name is Jay Simmons, I am a Portland Based Illustrator specializing in Picture Books and Graphic Novels. I work primarily digitally and enjoy exploring whimsical stories of adventure, Identity, magic and found family.

I believe an artist’s ability to create safe spaces for others through fiction and fantasy is an essential part of my craft. This inspires my drive as an illustrator and creative storyteller. Through my work I seek to immerse others into my world, constructing a bridge connecting myself and those who need similar solace in the fantastical worlds of fiction.

I am currently studying illustration at The Pacific Northwest College of Art.
